How I Doula
I believe in bringing peace, not chaos, to your birth experience. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming space where you feel supported and empowered every step of the way. I'm not only a certified birth doula, but also a licensed pelvic floor physical therapist. This unique combination allows me to support you physically, emotionally, and clinically through every stage of labor and birth. I bring expert knowledge of pelvic anatomy, optimal birthing positions, and postpartum recovery—giving you confident, compassionate care that extends beyond the delivery room.
FAQs
-
A birth doula is a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support to a birthing person before, during, and shortly after childbirth. Unlike medical professionals, a doula does not deliver babies or perform clinical tasks—but I’m there to help you feel informed, confident, and supported throughout your journey. I am in service to the mother. Everyone wants to hold the baby but who holds the mom? Me.
-
Studies show that having a doula present at birth can lead to shorter labor, reduced need for interventions (like epidurals or cesareans), and more positive birth experiences. Most importantly, doulas help you feel seen, heard, and empowered during one of the most important moments of your life.
-
The earlier, the better! Many families book their doula in the second trimester to allow time for building a trusting relationship. That said, it’s never too late—if your due date is near and you’re feeling called to have support, reach out!
-
Absolutely. I support hospital births, home births, and birth center deliveries. Whether you're planning a natural birth, epidural, or scheduled cesarean, my goal is to help you feel informed and supported every step of the way.
-
Not at all! Doulas complement your birth team. A doula works alongside your partner and healthcare providers, ensuring everyone feels supported and confident in their role. Think of myself as an added layer of calm, guidance, and advocacy.

While most insurance companies do not currently cover doula services, some clients have been reimbursed through Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). I am happy to provide an invoice or letter of service upon request.
